I really liked this story. I've read other books by Dawn Steele and I love how she has a great way of making things interesting, while still familiar, too. I've read a lot of werebear stories recently, but I think this is one of my favorites so far.The concept behind it is really neat. I liked the idea that everyone is sort of conflicted, you know? Jess is worried about her weight and insecurities, while Kyle is worried about his family and hurting the girl he's beginning to love. It's just a lot of tension, and at times the tension leads to some really sexy moments. Besides that, it's all really intriguing, too. There's a certain air of mystery in a way, as to what's going on and what's going to happen. I found it fascinating to read about!
One thing I really liked, too, was the beginning. Jeff really pissed me off, but I liked how Lyla came to Jess's defense, too. The scene seemed a little dramatic at first, but then I realized that there really are people like that and this sort of thing happens every day. I don't know why, but that one scene really set the entire mood of the book for me, and it made me angry but in a good way, you know? I wanted Jess to find someone better and to become more comfortable with herself! She definitely deserves it.
If you like werebears and shifters and want a fun and different take on some of the common themes in stories like that, then I think you'll definitely like this one. It's exciting and interesting! I'd really recommend it!

Well, it was different. I'm not sure if I liked it or not, it was kind of strange read. Where to start, the female lead character was a insecure bbw 19 yr old meeting an older man on a internet dating website. Most of the book is a long lead up final drama, then the lead characters have sex then it's over. It's like the book is missing the complete ending, weird.
This shifter story was ok. I felt myself getting board with it and skimming parts of it through out the book. I did love the story and the characters but the idea of sacrificing a virgin....really people? so if you want a read alone book where there's no sex really no passion and a virgin sacrifice. This is the book for you. Enjoy.
So happy I one clicked this one! ) This story was packed with all of my favorite things curvy heroine, a sexy alpha male, and shifters! Jessica was super relatable--I love it when my heroines seem real. It helps me connect with them and I connected with Jessica instantly. And Kyle (fans myself) he was hot and so deliciously alpha! A must read for shifter romance fans.
The story was good. Had a fast pace but wish I knew what happened to Kyle and Jessica. Did they get away, did Kyle's family catch up with them? Do they get a happy ending? All this build up, they have sex and then it ends. Hopefully there's a part 2. Also there were several typos in this book that distracted from the story. But all in all an okay read.
I paid $3.99 for that?
Wow that was a crazy Shifter story. It's not sensual, let alone 'extremely' sensual. It was very scary actually. I have a feeling that there is more coming in regards to what just happened. The only way to fix it would be to completely turn the plot around!! Or at least be Honest with your readers. Tell them what to expect.
Look I'm an adult. I can obviously handle a story like this. I just like to see what is coming!! You know?
I am a HUGE fan of shifter romance stories but add in a BBW heroine and I'm in absolutely heaven! Dawn Steele is one of the most gifted erotic romance writers so if you're looking for an author who will never let you down, SHE is it! The Alpha Dating Game was so much fun to read. I couldn't put it down until I finished it (into the wee hours of the morning!), but it was that good. Solid writing, incredibly delicious characters and a unique spin on the shifter-romance niche. Can't wait to read more from this author!
The hero of the story plans from the beginning to sacrifice her to some demon, but after dating a couple of times and bringing the heroine to his father's house (for her to be sacrificed). He decides that he does not want her to die after all. How sweet of him!! This is a lousy romance. The girl is gulibal which is common with these types of stories. But he is no hero since he and his family have killing girls for years. The book ends with them in some hotel room with the evil family searching for them. The author ended the story so aburptly that I got the feeling that he-she just got tired of writing any more.
